Just a couple questions. All together we've got 5 free agents on defense (4 RFA's, 1 UFA). I'm pretty sure we will bring back all RFA's and I'm like 100% sure Monty's leaving. HOw many defensemen do you think Darcy will want to bring in? Will he like to get rid of a couple of the RFA's in a trade perferably for a center? I"m just spit balling here, thoughts? |

I have a feeling he isn't going to add any. Grag's and Sekera will be fulltime from now on plus this team has alot of defenseman in Portland. Myers, Sekera, Butler, Grag's, Weber, Leopold and Morrisson. With Morrisson being the odd man out most nights. If he does add one I wouldn't mind Kevin Bieksa. He's tough and he's shown what he can do in the playoffs this year. |

Morrisonn would be the first trade candidate. I doubt any RFAs get traded because even adding one means carrying eight, which they've done the last two seasons. If any were traded I think Sekera and Butler would be the ones, but only for a top d-man or top center. I wouldn't ignore any possibility this summer. |
