The Fourth Period has Joel Ward on the Sabres' radar. Dude played center and wing on the Preds' third line and is set to hit UFA. I'd be all for snagging him for the Sabres' third line but I have the feeling he'll be getting a decent raise after his performance versus Vancouver. Sent from my Droid X using Tapatalk |

I'd like to have him at 3rd line RW, but... Will he take less than 2.5 mil? 30-35 pts per season doesn't warrant more. Can we afford 2.5 mil for that position? Would signing him prevent landing a top center (especially if Roy isn't his best)? |
