Trade for Semin? I'm not saying he's available or anything but in your own opinions do you guys think he could be that "ELITE" player in a Sabres uniform... IMO he's been playing 2nd fiddle to Ovie and Bax since he's been in Washington.... |

he has the talent to be one of the best in the league, but not the drive. i love the caps, but i love the sabres more. keep him over there, we don't need an under-achiever of his caliber. |

another thing i was wondering kind of related to this subject... Does Lindy not like Russian players? I don't know why I'd say that but something tells me Russian PLayers and Lindy don't mix well. |

Lindy bas been plagued with these types of players for a long time. They do not fit into his style of play at all. They all seem to dazzle fans during times that mean absolutely nothing during the season. When it comes to crunch time you will find these western euro trash players taking a flyer and passing the responsibility puck to someone else. I don't mind these players to get you to the post season but they should not be the focal and fiscal centerpiece of our team. And by no means should you have more than 2 on your team at any given time. I will point at one team that has validated this for some years now, Washington. They beat the ever loving piss out of teams during the regular season and score goals at a torrent pace not to be matched by 95% of the teams. Then you look at their pitiful excuse for a post season effort. I don't need razzle and dazzle only to be let down during the big show. I'll take blue collar hardasses who will give everything they got and crack some skulls. The team makeup has changed to meet this criteria. A win is a win, whether that be 2-1 or 8-7. But, scoring won't be there every night so I would take a defensive minded team any day of the week. |
