we got the two points. that's what matters. of course it's bullshit, but rather than complain about the non-call, i would like to think the ot win shows that this team can still show some life after playing some pretty low-key hockey because of a 1 goal lead.
it's not likely that the sabres will make it far if they do break into the playoff picture, so having a depleted line-up with our younger guys facing adversity is probably good for their character and the future.
I look at it a bit differently. If we have a lot of young guys and heck some skaters who "weren't supposed to even be here today" we could win a series, maybe two.
We all know Miller can get hot and stay that way for long stretches. I think giving up a goal like that ticks him off something fierce...
Call me an optimist, but if Byron keeps contributing and gets to stay up during this injury stretch, Stafford keeps playing well once he comes back and Gerbe keeps playing his filthy little game that her plays...you never know. Heck if new ownership gets put in place b/f the trade deadline...we could even get someone to contribute. Hey until it doesn't happen, I'm gonna hold out hope that it will.
A lot of ifs...but this team is playing better and is on an up swing going into the all-star break...I'd love to watch them be the 8th seed.
