SOG were 17-17 in the 1st, and 11-3 for Buffalo in the 2nd.

For some reason DirecTV started the broadcast late and I missed the first two goals. Saw replays but didn't get a good feel for who screwed up or what broke down. Buffalo really should have tied it with several missed scoring chances (Vanek breakaway, MacArthur's strong move to the front right after the last PP ended, but couldn't finish).

I think that beside the momentum, Anaheim's defense is just not that good this season. If Buffalo keeps the gas pedal down I would be surprised if they didn't at least get to OT, if not win in regulation.


I saw them all on my Directv feed!!

He came in late this season, but I agree, daz, this guy is on a mission!!! He had puppies the last 2 seasons with Shitsburgh and the Dead Wings, looks like this year he's out to prove a point. I'll say this though, it'll be the goaltending that will stop the Slackhawks from going deep in the playoffs.

I agree. Niemi and Huet are both solid, but I don't think they're good enough to win in a 7 game series against great opponents.
