Will the Buffalo Sabres beat the red-hot Hurricanes on Thursday night in Raleigh or will they go home beaten again?

Buffalo lost the last meeting between these clubs 4-3 at home but took the previous meeting 5-1 and are looking to rebound against a Hurricanes club that has won it's past 8 of 11 games Thursday night. The Sabres are coming off a shootout loss to Rivals the Boston Bruins and are looking to get back to where this team was prior to their 7 game western Road trip.

Ruff has mixed up the lines to try and get three solid scoring lines, With MacArthur, Roy, Stafford on a line, Hecht, Connolly, Pominville, and Vanek, Kennedy, Grier to help out this struggling offense.

The only significant injuries of the Buffalo Sabres is Patrick Kaleta will be out, and Montador is expected back in the line-up. Carolina has Cam Ward out and no one else is out, and that is a huge reason for their recent success.

If Buffalo doesn't come out hard we could be looking at losing our fifth in a row, something that this team and Miller hasn't done since the team's ten game slide two years ago.

Lines from a month or so ago back together:

Vanek back with Kennedy and Grier. Macarthur takes his spot with Roy and Stafford. Connolly line stays the same, along with the 4th line.

Actually, this would be our 6th straight loss.

How much longer can the Sabres justify keeping MaCarthur and his bloody -15 (and growing) in the lineup? In the last eight games he's got 0 goals, 1 assist and a MINUS 6 rating. When does he sit?

My take? How fucking stupid do you have to be giving "Sir Giveaway" the point on the power play? He HAS and WILL turn it over trying to force passes into traffic, and it HAS and WILL lead to shorthanded scoring opportunities going the other way.

Why is this? Sekera had been playing great at point on the PP. Why not team him with Myers? WTF is Ruff thinking?
