The Sabres march into Carolina 5-4-1 in their last 10.

Jason Pominville has been hotter than a pistol with 9 points in his last 6 games, and looks to continue more of the same tonight. Other notable hot streaks for the Sabres include; Jochen Hecht with 7 points in 7 games, and of course the season long hot steak put together by Ryan Miller, who has been 5-0-1 in his last 6 decisions. Minus one night in the hockey vortex that is Atlanta, Miller has been brilliant all year long.

On the other side Joni Pitkanen has a goal and three assists for the Hurricanes in the last 2 games. McBain has had at least a point in all three games since being recalled, adding a goal and three assists. Peters is 6-2 in 8 games with a 2.48 goals-against average.

Buffalo is 1-2 against the Canes this season, and looks to even it up tonight. The Hurricanes aren't out of the playoffs, but they hardly have the talent to make any noise if they do reach the playoffs.

Other notes on the game, Carolina will be without Cam Ward, Tim Gleason, and Alex Picard. And game time decision is Legace.

I hate Carolina.

The Magic number for us right now is 7 wins; that would put Ottawa too far out to ever catch us, however realistically we need to win 5 of the next 10, as Ottawa is incapable of winning 10 straight given the way they are playing. MTL is in the same boat, need to win 10 before we win 7.

I'm skipping this one. I'm now 0-5 going to see the Sabres play at RBC center.

Yeah that sounds about right, playoffs is 11 points, division is 15 points I think. I am still kinda tired, but either way, it won't actually take that many. More than likely Playoffs is 90 points, and Division is 98. Both are easily attainable.
