The 5th meeting of 6 between these two clubs. Boston has won 3 of the 4 games with one in the SO and One in OT and one regulation win against Enroth's first ever NHL game.
The Sabres hold a 5 point lead on Ottawa with two games in hand for the division lead, and Boston is 2 points above Atlanta for the final playoff spot in the East.
This game means a lot for both teams, for the Sabres it means an even better chance at taking the NE Division title for the second time in the past 5 years and for Boston it keeps them in a playoff spot.
Rask has started all the games against Buffalo this year and his fantastic play has relegated Thomas to a backup position as this Boston team has struggled all year to maintain high levels of play.
Buffalo routed Tampa 7-1 with Derek Roy scoring 3 goals with 2 on the powerplay with LaLime in net for their last game, Boston routed Calgary 5-0 scoring 3 goals on the powerplay to keep it's chances alive.
We have always played Boston close and tough so don't expect a high scoring game unless either goalie has a bad game.
Miller Vs. Rask in this game. Sabres continue to push for the Division crown and Boston keeps pushing for a playoff spot.
