This game has taken way too long to arrive. The Sabres have been off since their opening loss against Montreal last Saturday night, and Lindy Ruff put the team through a 2nd training camp in between to keep them focused.

The Sabres will still likely be without the services of Lydman, who is still nursing a wrist injury. Mair is ready to be activated, which will create a tough decision on who to sit in the press box.

Coyotes owner Gary Bettman is a well known shit stain of a commissioner, who over the past 15 years has attempted to make hockey less popular than badminton.

Anyway, let the game smack begin!

Yote's are 2-0 and are coming off of a 3-0 shutout win against Pittsburgh. The Sabres had a while off to watch a prepare. This should be interesting. Pheonix is a trap team though, so hopefully we can get the first goal, or this might be a snooze fest. Which I really hope it isn't because I'm going tonight. Lets Go Buffalo! 3-2 Someone

I hope this isn't going to be one of those "cakewalk" games, in which we come out and score three goals, by the ten-minute mark of the first period...

I'll be at the game with another board member. It should be a good game. We do have the advantage not having played the cup champions the night before, but as we all know, thats why they play the games.

I'm going out a limb and predicting 7-1 Sabres, Pommer (2), Vanek (2), MacArthur, Connolly and Goose on the goals.

Per Bucky's Live Chat, the Sabres will go with the same lineup they used in the opener. Stafford to start again on the 4th line, but will probably move up to the 1st or 2nd as the game goes along...probably depending on which line needs a boost more.

He also speculated that the line of Vanek/Roy/Connolly may be a bit too "skilled" i.e. soft, when asked why they were invisible in the opener.
