Shit man. I didn't think I'd be too busy yesterday to make a GDT. Thanks for filling in, Phil.

Whenever someone is busy and a GDT needs making...I'll be there.

I'm letting it be known that if the Sabres play like shit and lose, i will be shaving this beard off. I figure that if they can't find it in themselves to play well then I can't find it in me to deal with this fucking itching.

Hard to understand how they could play such a tight defensive game in Game 1, then play so loose in their own end in Games 2 and 3. I'm about ready to tear my hair out if Myers keeps rushing the net on every offensive rush and he keeps trying spinoramas with the puck in his own zone and keeps passing the puck right in front of the Buffalo net.

I think Myers rushing the puck up is a good thing. Not many Sabres were able to get the puck into the zone like that, except for maybe Sekera (and Ennis a little). But the defense passing it in front of our net is a problem for sure, especially for Gragnani and Butler.

D joining the rush CAN be a good thing, but not when they do it every single time, that takes away the element of surprise and leaves the team vulnerable to a counter-attack because the D is out of position. Myers seems to be rushing every time down the ice. Not only that but if he gets the puck, he's been skating it into the zone and not making any passes to create space or get the opposition's defenders moving.

How many times in this series have we seen forwards make passes to where they think the point man will be, only to have the puck go out of the zone because the guy who's supposed to be on the point has pinched?

Do it to the end, or don't do it all.

(In my opinion.)

not only is he rushing, he loses the puck because he's skating in at full speed and the forwards are at a standstill (or on a line change) and aren't ready to keep up for a pass. when he loses the puck, we're off balance on transition and give up an odd man rush and myers is somewhere up behind the red line, about 150 feet from where he should be.
