The Buffalo Sabres (1-0) begin a stretch of four games in five days as they travel to the Bell Centre in Montreal tonight to face the Canadiens (0-1). The Sabres will visit the Habs for Buffalo’s fifth game of the season on Tuesday, Oct. 18. The teams will meet a total of six times throughout the season. Their first matchup at First Niagara Center will take place on Friday, Feb. 17, with all three games in Buffalo taking place in February or March.
The Sabres are 135-146-48 all-time in the preseason… Buffalo is 22-10-2 in preseason action since the start of the 2005-06 season; they finished the 2010 preseason 4-2-0, going 2-0 at home.

It is expected that Kotalik will be in tonight, along with other veterans like Roy, Vanek, Pomminville; and making their debut with the Sabres Robyn Regehr and Christian Ehrhoff are also slated to play this week, and probably tonight.
