I went and watched a Norfolk Admirals game Tuesday and had a way better time. Sad when watching the Lighting's crop team getting beat is better than watching the Sabres.

I wish I didn't, but I care. This weekend is gonna suck and I made a New Year's resolution to drink less. Fuck.

It would be nice for my birthday to actually see them win but I plan on drinking this whole weekend so F it.

Lindy Ruff understands where owner Terry Pegula is coming from with injuries, but now the head coach says that excuse is over.

The Sabres Head Coach thinks they can win now, “Nobody’s happy. None of us are happy and you want to win and you want to win through any circumstance and I feel right now, we’re healthy enough to win. We’ve gotten enough pieces back that we should be able to win. We’re not going to blow anybody out, but we’re going to have to win some tight games. Yes that was a big factor, never before have we had that number out, but right now I think we’re close enough to win games so we can eliminate any other excuses. We’ve been in some tough situations, but we’re not the only team though and we’ve talked about as a team that now’s the time. We’re able to keep some lines together and I think our defense is playing well enough as a group now. It’ll all start in goal, getting a big effort in goal (Miller tonight) and moving out forward from there.

I think most of us care; but that caring has been tempered with the knowledge that the team won't budge on making needed changes. "We can't give away players." I'd argue if you get some value, you have to consider it. Especially if you take on less salary than you send out. Plug some holes through free agency after the season. The worst thing is to do nothing. For god sakes; at least change the culture here in "Hockey Heaven"...... Going to the Hurricane and Caps game Sunday @ 5. Christmas present to my brother. He never got into watching hockey, but then again he has never seen a game. Like any good drug dealer I will give him his first batch for free My hope is that I will finally have someone to help split the cost of booze and Center Ice.

I guess we will find out if the players want to play for him or not soon. He's kind of admitting that if they fail now, it's on his shoulders.
