Ok, 3rd time is a charm. Starting to think I'm the reason why the team is sucking ball as of late. They gatta make me look good, damn it!

Sabres now look to rebound from the weekend which seen them show up for 1.5 periods of hockey out of a possible 6. Pitching stinkers seems to be the norm as of late but if we can put together a feel good game, it's against the Sens.

Right? :|

No bold predictions this time, I'll just be happy with them showing effort from the drop of the puck to the final buzzer.

This teams sucks with the exception of the Vanek-line. The way they gave the last game away showed that they aren't even close to being a good team.

I think it showed they are close to being a good team. However it showed they are not even close to being confident and mentally strong, and that means they are not even close to being a great team or a threat in the post-season.

Pardy has been recalled for this one. He's been playing pretty solid during his time in Rochester, as well as the fact he's a decent sized defender. Reggie not looking like he'll be a gamer for tomorrow and Regehr is still sporting a boot.

Looks like Ehrhoff won't be going, either.

Hell, who needs a defense anyway?
*sigh*

As long as Vanek, Pommers and Hodson put up 8 goals we should be fine.

...and the best part: Enroth was first off the ice at the morning skate.

Saying "the best part" was sarcasm on my part.

Exactly.

This defense has been, as a whole, one of the worst in many, many years.

Miller has gotten zero help.

Yup. Hopefully bringing in Pardy and the rookies will shake up the D. Is there a specific coach in charge of the defense other than Ruff?

James Patrick has run the defense pretty much his entire time here.

(Side note : Patrick drives a really hot car and tailgates in the ECC lots before Bills games, which are generally a shitshow. Much props to that guy.)

Miller is 0% of the problem, and if anybody is still actually blaming him, they need to get their heads checked.

When things get this bad on defense, sometimes you just have to say fuck it, it's Pardy time!

I'm not gonna give him props on his coaching, that's for sure...

Ehrhoff is out tonight.

Pardy is with Myers, or was in practice and Weber was with Leopold. So hopefully since the pairing that is utterly useless in Myers/Leopold are finally broken up, we might actually have a defense that can get the puck out of the zone. But most likely not. We really need Sekera back, as he has been out best D, with Sulzer in second, then Weber in third, and the rest are just terrible.
