Now that it's been brought up, I think the jersey is just Team Sweden's jersey with the Sabres logo photo shopped on.

I brought this up in the lounge, but I think it applies here too;

If we're actually getting new away uniforms, are they going to be unveiled before NHL 11 is released, or will the game "blank" it out like they do with the new 3rd jerseys until they're released?

NHL 11 comes out in 24 days, so something tells me we'll see the new road jerseys before then, as well as an official announcement that we've changed our logo to our "new classic" one...

The team has not said anything at all about the new away jersey, only that the new 3rd jersey will be unveiled at the Puck Drop. So who knows.

i kinda have a hunch the new away jersey wont be very new. i know everyone keeps mentioning retro logo, but for some reason, i have a hunch its going to be the slug. dunno why. they havnt actually said anything about the away jersey have they?

A source from the Sabres’ organization has confirmed a new white “away” jersey and a new alternate blue “home” jersey for the upcoming season. The new 3rd jersey will look very different from anything the Sabres have done before. It will be royal blue with a “Buffalo” script in white across the front, with the player’s number underneath. A vintage logo will be underneath the script with 20 on one side of the sabres and 10 on the other.

The rest of the jersey is where it differs from current concept art on the internet. The back of the 3rd jersey will have numbers but they will be checkered gold and blue. Don’t ask me how this will work, I was skeptical as well. It will also make customizing them nearly impossible.

Futhermore there will be a name plate on the back (like Philadelphia’s home jerseys), it will be gold and the lettering will be blue. How do you feel about the new threads? Are you going to buy one?

Logo AND number beneath script? Cluttered and messy.

Checkerboard numbers? Ugly and tacky.

Flyers-style nameplate? ...well, I think I'd actually like to give that a try.

Hopefully, this guy is full of shit because this jersey is going to be a Moby Dick-sized failwhale.

thats just what i read online, my girl hasnt worked since thurs but she said they didnt have the jerseys in yet, so hopefully this is a little off, i realllly dont like the checkerboard idea

Yea, Aaron, I read the same thing over breakfast this morning. The nameplate idea has me excited, but those checkerboard numbers can suck it.

Hopefully this guy is either a bold-faced liar or horribly off-base.

if you go to the sabres site, a banner has lettering with "stitching" across the letters. i wonder if thats what they mean.

On the splash page? Yea, that wouldn't be so bad, but multicolored numbers would be on par with the disaster that was Tampa's early numbering.
