This is an absolute joke and a mockery to the game. This sends the wrong message. This is the NHL telling Matt Cooke that seriously injuring other players is just fine. Not only does it let Matt Cooke know that, it tells Mike Richards, Jarkko Ruutu, Chris Neil, and every other scum bag that laces up the skates there are no repercussions for going for players heads and sidelining them for months, whole seasons, and even the rest of their careers (because we all know a concussion can do that.) I am so mad right now, I can't even think. Cooke has done this before, and the previous suspension did not teach him anything so Colie Campbell just lets him off the hook? Are you kidding me? What happens when does this in another game this season or in the playoffs? He will keep doing this until he is hit with a long suspension and is held off the ice and his paycheck does not reach his pocket for a long time.

On a side note, Boston plays Shittsburgh again on Thursday. God I hope Shawn Thornton or Zdeno Chara destroys Cooke. I do not support the Bruins in any manner, but god almighty do I want them to a)win this game and b) destroy Cooke.

anyone got a feed ? lol...i want to see some revenge

I guess that's next Thursday, as the Pens are in Carolina tonight. Still, I don't think Boston will forget.
Also, the game is on NHL Network. Oh boy oh boy, I can't wait.

do you think that washington's coach would send Lucic out after cooke. As much as i dislike lucic would still be nice to see karma come Cooke's way.

He might send him out, but Washington's Coach doesn't send Lucic out after anyone anyways.

Yeah, it's kinda hard to send a player out that he doesn't have.... :D

that hit was absolute shit. so was not getting suspended. You gotta be fucking kidding me.. his arm/shoulder ONLY hit Savards head and there his supposed to be this no head shot rule. Fuck you Nhl. Sorry Bruins and Savard, i dont think the bruins need anymore bad news right now... not that i like the team or anything but no one deserves to get fucked over and out like they did on that exchange.

One of the writers on THN.com was talking about how this was a mistake for the NHL, and we may see that reflected in next Thursday's game, which is also "Big Bad Bruins" night (it celebrates the 1970 team). He also said Byilsma might just scratch Cooke, but that would a bitch move, and it would only support Cooke's cheap play. Bylisma now needs to play Cooke if he wants to teach him a lesson. You can say, "Don't do that again." all you want, but nothing would drive that message home more than Lucic putting Cooke into the 3rd row.

EDIT: Here's the story
http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/3 ... Cooke.html

As long as Cooke is dealt with fairly and not Moore/Bertuzzi-ed.

That was a fluke incident. Moore was injured when his head hit the ice.

But I agree, I don't want to see that happen either, but I will be happy if someone runs him a few times on late hits or takes a game misconduct to give him what he deserves.

A fullspeed "blindsided" rough stop should be enough to "bench" him a few games. If Campbell can't do it I'm sure Lucic or Thornton and even Bergeron are the ones to finish the job.

Can't help but this game will be full of emotions and the hell for the Pens..
