Remember kids that are learning our great sport of hockey. It's perfectly acceptable to fire an elbow at the head of an opponent. That's a great hockey play!!

However, be sensitive to our French Canadian friends. Don't insult them with hand gestures!

Well I can't disagree with the fine, but the NHL needs to also dish them out for the hits too.

How gullible Ference must think people are, trying to say his glove just got stuck and that's not how he is, blah, blah. Everything about his entire body language showed he meant exactly what he did. Who pumps their fist by holding it out in front of them steady with a pissy look on their face toward the crowd? Doofus thinks anyone will by that lame excuse?

I think Adam Proteau sums it up perfectly...

Quote:
An extended middle finger in the NHL costs you $2500. An extended elbow costs you nothing. Who's really giving fans the finger here?

I'm sure deep down, he thinks that's the best $2500 ever spent.

To be well spent, he should have done spin-o-ramas at center ice with both arms extended. Bruins fans would've paid the fine for him if he did that.

I liked what that goon on NHL on the Fly said about it, something like, "Us guys who only score every 80 games don't know how to act."
