Selanne and Koivu have NTC's.
Anaheim wants players who can help them now if they deal; according to the reports I've read on TSN.
I doubt Toronto has the players to acquire a Getzlaf. Unless Kulimen or Grabovski are more heralded around the league than was thought. They're not dealing Phaneuf, or Kessel.
Buffalo might; but I doubt Darcy would part with them. Not a situation where Roy, Stafford, Sekera, and a pick are going to acquire a Getzlaf, Perry, Ryan, Fowler - or any combination.
It would involve a Vanek, Pominville, Myers, Miller, or combination of to get this one done.
Simply not going to happen. I'd be happy to proclaim "I was wrong, and am surprised as hell" though..
Naturally, you'd assume they'd waive the NTC to be on a contender. Obviously, Murray can't say they will.
Call me crazy, but I could see Burke having a Getz hard on, and maybe using Kessel being red hot as the bait to get him. That's the only conceivable scenario I can see with Toronto. For Buffalo, I see Vanek, Miller, and Myers as possible pieces in a Getz trade. Also, remember Hiller and Miller are both slumping, which is interesting. Watch for Anaheim to lose Blake's salary, too. I personally believe Murray just wants to see what the market is like before the deadline. Throwing out snagging hooks is all, seeing if he can catch a big one.
