Report: Niedermayer looking at KHL

"Veteran NHL forward Rob Niedermayer could be on his way to Russia.

According to TSN's website, Niedermayer is in negotiations for a one-year deal with the Kontinental Hockey League's Moscow Red Army.

The 34-year-old winger is reportedly being wooed by several NHL teams as well, but the money hasn't been right."

...Thank you BoG & NHLPA, for your wonderful CBA. And, have fun in Siberia Rob...we'll all be missing and thinking of you....not really.

That would suck, only because the KHL thinks their "poaching our stars".

The guys in the KHL, I've been on boards on youtube where they were gloating about having Ray Emery in their league last year...

Geez. His brother's making $6 mil...what the heck. I guess he's not into "sharing".

LOL. Seriously. I can't see how Anaheim decided to pay that much for Scott Niedermayer. I guess Rob's been inspired by his brother's salary, to chase better.

Good luck to him.

He is still a great defender though.

I'd love to see Rob Niedermayer on the Sabres but that would never happen so I guess I should stop dreaming.

It's almost stunning, how many decent players remain unsigned: One could start an entire expansion franchise with the available talent.

Rob Nieds is by no means unique, or necessarily the best among them.
