I think a former Sabres tracker thread is in order. Let's do it.

Lydman has 2G in 2gp and is playing with a new drive it seems.

MacArthur is scoring at a ridiculous pace, with 5G in 4gp. What the what?

Tallinder has a goal for the Devils, but he also has a -5 rating.

Paille is playing on the Bruins' fourth line, I'm assuming. Patches and Petey are playing in Rochester while Kennedy is in Hartford.

Kotalik is not playing in the NHL or AHL that I've found, and I doubt anyone misses him.

MacArthur is Gretzky in the minds of the Leafs.

They're in for a rude awakening in about 5 games. Personally, I can't wait...

Whenever the General decides to not show up they will want him gone.

I also noticed Raffi Torres is now with Vancouver, and is playing tonight. Don't think he has any points though.

Isn't Drury injured too?

Yep. Re-injured the finger he just recovered from. Could be six weeks, they're saying.

I just saw, Alice Kotalik is on IR, but he is with Calgary still.

News: The Flames have placed Kotalik on long-term IR due to a sprained knee, SLAM! Hockey reports.
Spin: He wasn't going to be back anytime soon, but now that's locked in for at least 10 games and 24 days. At this time, the team doesn't think the hard-shooter's injury will require surgery, so he could be back near the time he's eligible. Kotalik only had 27 points between 71 games with the Flames and Rangers last season.

I can't believe no one has mentioned these 3 great trade deadline acquisitions they once had in Dominic Moore, Steve Bernier or Dainus Zubrus  . All have done dick all so far :D

Briere has 4 goals in 5 games, Dumont has 4 points in 4 games. Those are the 2 former Sabres that I miss the most.

I still wish we would have kept Zubrus... liked him the most of the trade acquisitions....

Same here, but not for the money he got though.

Yep. He's an assistant coach at NU under his former junior coach Dave Burkholder.

Well the reason I wanted to retain Zubrus was after we lost Briere and Drury, he was the last option left. Plus he is a big bodied guy and we were really quit small then.

Now, I'm glad we don't have him, even though his numbers would probably have been decent with us had he stayed here.
