I'm watching the draft and I'm kind of surprised that it is not that bad to watch.
I had to laugh when the host said to Tim Thomas:" You know that you're old when you were drafted by a team that no longer exists"

It was pretty cool being there, we couldn't watch it from the floor right up close since there were so many people there, but we watched it on a big screen at the convention center.

I like the theory, gets you to finally have a little control over the team. And the Sedin vs Sedin is gonna be neat to see.

Obviously about 10,000 people who showed up to the event.

Also, I didn't realize how many trophies there were in the NHL, they had everyone of them on display, and you could take pictures with the Stanley Cup.

They had different skills challenges like hardest shot, accuracy shooting, passing deflections, dangling, and other neat things.

The Fan Fest really is gonna be a big hit, great income for the city and it's fun for the fans. Saw a few mascots from other teams running around.

Whine, whine.

I thought the fantasy draft was going to be boring and retarded, but it was pretty sweet. The personalities in the NHL are so good that any time you can slap a mic on a few players, you get some good entertainment. The only thing I didn't like was the panel of Pierre McGuire and co. discussing the picks, but it was kind of funny when they showed shots of the players as Pierre ranted looking like "what the hell is wrong with this creepy little bald man?"

I love the All-Star break. I love that every player gets rest, I like seeing the personalities of some players I would never otherwise know about, I love the skills competition, and I love having guys mic-ed up all the time. The bottom line is that the players need the rest like NFL players need a bye week, and this is one of the better ways to fill the time rather than there just being nothing.

Is it me or did the announcer just say "Tyler Ennis from the Florida Panthers" :o

Oh, and the "Skiiinnnerr"-scream from the Simpsons was hilarious when Jeff Skinner skated in.

You heard it right.

I'm working on a paper, and I didn't look up right away because I heard 'Florida Panthers'. Then they said Ennis, and I had to rewind the DVR to check.
