Four years ago, the Devils fired Julien because Lou Lamoriello didn't think Julien had what it took as a coach to win the Stanley Cup.

Oops.

Why couldn't Luongo shit the bed like this in the Olympic final?

It was the Looney at center ice, just like it's the Boston water Horton dumped on the Vancouver ice.

Horton brought a bottle of water from Boston and dumped it on the ice infront of the Bruins bench today before the game as a bit of a good luck tip.

Looks like it's working to me.

Having Thomas play like a wall helps too

It's all about superstition, and finding which one works.

Yeah, that might have something to do with it but my money is on the water.

Can't fault Luongo much on any of the goals. I farking hate...loathe...that Boston is going to win, but Vancouver didn't deserve to win. They're hurt - Kesler, Hamhuis, Raymond, Edler tonight - but the Sedins couldn't generate anything. I don't blame them a whole lot though.

This series is a typical example of the playoffs. I know they set a record for penalty minutes, but that was from all the garbage after the whistle. Otherwise it's been a very physical series with a lot of stuff during the play being let go and uncalled. We know from personal experience as Sabres fans that when the game is played that way and the refs call it that way, the more physical teams wins. It's frustrating to watch, and I sure wish there was a way to turn the clock back to the 80s and early 90s. I'm about positive now that the game will never be that way again.

Ya know, I want the B's to hang on to win tonight but I have to say, I'll be glad when this freak show of a finals is over.

Maybe the NHL network and ESPN classic has me spoiled by showing classic Stanley Cup finals from years past, but this years finals has been a regular circus act with the way the players have conducted themselves on the ice on both teams plus the way the refs have called the games.

Think there will be riots like it was in '94?

The tears by Kesler say it all, this was really Vancouver's year

I'm sick for the Vancouver fans.

They were classy to the end, though.

Good for them.

BUT NOW IT'S BACK TO BUFFALO! LETS GO BUFFALO!

"This will undoubtably be the highest it's [the Stanley Cup] has ever been held."

Hahaha Emrick has to be the only national broadcaster I can tolerate.

I don't think Kesler and his one assist earned the right to cry.
