The Flames did ok on the Toronto trade.
Hagman and Stajan will most likely stay with Calgary. Both are a minimum line 2 players and should they find chemistry with Calgary could be potential 30 goal scorers. White is a solid addition to the D corp on Calgary. Losing Phaneuf is a bit rough, but sometimes its best just to say goodbye.

The trade to the Rangers is a different breed altogether. If confirmed I gotta believe Sutter is collecting certain players to make a move for another piece of the puzzle.

That's a possibility, as a few others have said in this thread. I wouldn't be surprised to see Stajan and Hagman used in another trade if Sutter is seeking another trade for a bigger piece of this proverbial puzzle everyone speaks of.
Just a side note, all this damn trading is really affecting my ability to do this english research paper I'm working on. So fuck you Sutter, Burke, Slather, and anyone else who decides to trade at 12:30 AM. Thank you. :p

So obviously Phaneuf and Jokinen were the two main problems Sutter saw amidst the 9(?) game losing streak. Maybe they feel Higgins can get back to his old form in their system. Kotalik makes no sense so maybe their shipping him with their first somewhere. But Calgary still needs a playmaker or two on their roster. What about Langkow+ for Roy.
