Here's where I would normally open my mouth and say how we should make a move for someone but I sharply remember that I am talking about our management. hahahahaha.....sigh.

I have the suspicious feeling Byfuglien is going to get paid out the ass because of these playoffs and suck for the rest of his career.

Before we start saying which one's better than the other, they've spent their entire professional careers playing together. They may be greater than the sum of their parts, but we don't know that.

I dunno Phil. Toews was Canada's best player throughout the Olympics and now he's leading Chicago in the playoffs. If they were both in the same draft I'd take Toews over Kane.

You do have a point there. But then again, when has he ever played without a star-studded team? UND Fighting Sioux with Stafford and Oshie, Team Canada, the Blackhawks with Kaner and Byfuglien.

But then again, is Toews so goddamned good that he's the reason those teams were star-studded?

It's a question we may never know the answer to.

I'd be happy with either one honestly, I need to see them play some more to form more of an opinion though.

They need to rid of Huet's contract first. If they get rid of him, they will be in a much better situation.

Dump him to the highest bidder, then cut your losses or only ask for draft picks.

Huet is under contract for a little too much, but it isn't insanity. Try to ship him to the Isles is what I'd do.

Hawks could buy him out as well or bury him in the AHL.

Wouldn't they be on the books for at least half of his contract if he got claimed? Or do it before waivers take place and it's off the books?

I don't remember really.

I have no idea really but seeing teams like Washington and maybe even the Sharks (yeah i said the Sharks) could be desperate for a new goalie

What's the buyout cost for Huet?

I don't know what his buy-out cost is but I know his cap hit is $5.625 for the next two season.

I'd go the route of dumping him for draft picks, or placing him in the minors before his cap hit is officially on the teams bankroll.

Seconded. Couldn't care less if Toews is the better of the two, I would genuinely enjoy seeing Kane play a few seasons in Buffalo. He would pretty much immediately become our best player, help our struggling top 6 immediately and lets face it, ever since the draft I think everyone knows his home is here. ;)

It'll be a dark day for cabbies though...

Toews vs. Kane?

Let's keep it simple:

Toews has about a-point-a-game through the playoffs
Toews is much taller
Toews found the missing puck
Toews never robbed a cabbie

I'd go with Toews.
