Kaleta was downstairs tonight but I was busy upstairs so I couldn't go down.

I work all the rest of this week (Thu-Sat) and Tuesday for sure next week, but after that I dunno. If my training is done I'll do every lunch and some dinners but if it isn't I'll be doing another straight week of dinners.

Got this from Sabres Edge:

Kane will be visiting Niagara Falls' Cave of the Winds at 8:30 a.m., a half-hour before the attraction opens to the public. Kane and the Cup will also spend private time with patients at Roswell Park at 11 a.m. before a visit to steelworkers behind Buffalo General Hospital at 12:30 p.m.

I'm usually at Roswell from 10 am to 4 pm, so I'll likely see him and the Cup around. There probably won't be any time for me to go up to the Cup up close, since he'll be there for the patients...but it will still be neat to see the Cup "in the flesh" again.

He's at Soho tonight with it right now, I believe. That's what Brian Campbell was saying tonight when I talked to him at work. He knows my trainer so they were yukkin it up. Holy shit I see so many hockey players there. Rhett Warrener was in there the day before I got hired apparently haha.

Can somebody take Kane swimming in the bay and tie the cup to his feet in about 15 feet of water...just saying, that's how I'd spend my day with the cup...

Saw Pat and the Cup today at Roswell. He came in with a huge group of camera men, security, photographes, and friends and family. He went upstairs for about 45 minutes to visit with the patients and then came down to the lobby and said a few words onstage with the Cup. It was pretty crowded. Then I thought he left to continue his tour around WNY, but about 20 minutes later he came back down with the Cup and his parents to leave. It was cool because there wasn't really anyone around anymore and I got to say goodbye to him and the Cup!

On the other hand, isn't hockey(and football, etc) about taking the puck(ball) from the other guy? Chris P. has just decided that this is a LITERAL translation. 'If you want the puck so bad, come get it'. I'll agree he's being a dick for doing it, but no one is calling him on it in an "old-fashioned hockey" way, now are they? I'm a fan of letting the players handle their own shit, because it's always worked. Letting Buttman make decisions on issues like this is the WORST option.

Pretty sure this is just another reason why the cabbie situation got taken way out proportion.....which the cabbie has even said.......and also why NHL players top all other major sports leagues in the "Real Guys That Have Real Things In Perspective" category....

Every players lifetime dream is to win The Cup, and even at his young age, he's spends a nice chunk of his 24 hours at a Cancer Research Center....in his HOMETOWN nonetheless, and not in Chicago.....the city he won it for.....Kane's good people, let's stop shitting on the kid for a drunken mistake he MAY have made at 19 and start appreciating the positive shit the kid does for Buffalo....a city he easily could have abandoned but never has....

Maybe. But I'd be willing to trade Pommers, Vanek AND Roy for Kane.....and so would you

No I wouldn't. That trade would be fucking retarded for both teams.
