From what I understand the battery packs are actually some sort of perpetual motion mini hydroelectric power plant used to power the suit.

I've looked at a bunch of them so far and it's just pathetic. I mean they're stereotype comic hero bodies with powers plucked from a hat and slapped on them. Ugh....fail.
