No. Matt Cooke is a dirtbag who shouldn't have a job. Kaleta is our energy player (for now). Kaleta makes the occasional questionable hit. Matt Cooke intentionally tries to injure other players. Big difference.
Why does Johnny Boychuk have a job with the Bruins? He intentionally injured Vanek. The NHL failed to suspend him. Kaleta would have taken Boychuk out, but was likely intstucted not to preventing escalating any future altercations. Knowing the Bruins love to injure players, I am not surprised.
Boychuk and Cooke are on the same boat of thugs who should not play in the NHL if they have the inent to injure.
Cooke, having a no movement clause, may have trouble finding preferable teams who want him. He may have to accept a buyout a year early.
Johnny Boychuk had one questionable hit that wasn't really suspension worthy, because he tried breaking up a play and the slide into the boards is what injured Vanek, not the simple slash.
Cooke has been suspended many times and has injured way more people than Boychuk will ever, AND Cooke has many more hits that look intentional.
Saying Cooke=Boychuk in terms of dirtiness is just false.
