A hockey check is not a tackle.

that has nothing to do with the discussion. that position is how your body is most protected. yet you stated it's more likely to be injured that way.

Well, with a hockey check if you ram into the guy while his face is close to the ice, and you fall on top of him, something is more likely to get bent a certain way. It's happened to me before.

it doesn't matter what kind of hit it is, the most protected position for your body is crunched up with a low center of gravity and in one mass.

Just falling over seems safer to me than having a 6'3", 215 pound defensemen falling on top of you at high velocity.

I've put it into practice before. I've played hockey, and I've been fallen on while crunched up and I've been checked. One of those circumstances broke my leg, one didn't.

You told me to experiment. Obviously if I've played hockey I've been checked more than once. I've been checked quite a bit. The time I'm down low on the ice and I break my leg is the ONLY time I've done that. COINCIDENCE?

Sooo, Marchand lowballs another player tonight, instead of going shoulder on shoulder with him. Someone want to break out a can of raid and try to get rid of this little shit already? Maybe a fly swatter?

What a bag of monkey shit he is...
