Some jerkoff on Twitter (jerkoffs, to be precise - the guys who host the Petros and Money Show on Fox Sports Radio) is saying Kovy to Kings, $80M over 15 yrs is almost done.

Until the Kings, LeBrun, an HNiC guy, or a TSN guy reports it, I call bullsh*t on any reported Kovy deals.

Edit: Quick bit of math: If that deal is legit, Kovalchuk's cap hit would only be $5.33M. Regardless of what he's making salary-wise, that's a helluva small cap hit for his production. Helloooo, long-term contract. Again, IF IF IF.

15 years, he retires before he finishes that contract, he'd be 40 when it ended or 41.

I would never sign him over 10 years, 7 years at the most is safe, then he is just about 32 and can sign another 3-4 year deal which then he could sign one years when he is over 35.

OK Helene Elliott from the LA Times is saying the deal isn't finalized yet, but all that's in the way is some minor details surrounding the NTC and the lockout clause.

Flyers confirm Gagne to Bolts. No word on return yet. I'm liking what Yzerman is doing in his virgin voyage as GM.

Edit: It's Gagne for D Matt Walker and a 4th

Yeah, I saw it on TSN just a second ago. Good pick up for the Bolts...

Nicky Foligno just signed a two year deal with the Sens. As Marty Vance (who writes Double-Edged Sabres) tweeted "That way; he can sign with Buffalo when Marcus makes his debut."

Wow, you're Mr. Punctuation tonight. Mueller was a stud for Germany during the Olympics. To those people paying attention, it was pretty clear Roman Wick (SUI) and Marcel Mueller (GER) would be playing in at least the AHL next season.

I know am right now, its late and I am tired ;) . I heard of Wick but I have never even heard of this Mueller guy, when I first heard this Mueller guy signed with the Leafs I thought it was Peter Mueller.

Ondrej Pavelec just agreed to a 2-year deal with Les Thrash. Money not yet disclosed.

He's really good in NHL 10 in Be a GM after 11 years down the road, haha.

Yep, and a another move to gain something from a guaranteed loss of talent due to the cap. A lot of GMs hold on too long to their players and don't plan for the long term, the Blackhawks and Flyers are managing their cap nicely in my opinion.

Damn 11 years.

I've sim'ed the years, in my GM I never play a game, I only run the team.

Kovalchuk is 38 I think, I have Spezza too. My team is great though. About 5-6 90+ rated players, around 10 85+ rated ones.
