Being a +44 in Toronto for his entire career says a lot about his defensive effort.

Anyone post Matt Moulsen's one year deal with the Islanders?

Nope, totally forgot to.

Did come in here to say Denis Grebeshkov is playing in Russia next year.

Also, the Blue Jackets avoid arbitration with Anton Stralman, signing him to a one-year deal worth $1.95M I think I read.

If he puts up another 30-goal season, I guarantee he gets a four-year deal or something like that.

Nah they'll wait a year and then sign he and Tavares to 10 year contracts :D

Wow LA signing Ponikarovsky is not that smart, he really sucked when he wasn't on the leafs if that is possible. Plus NY signs another under achieving forward in Frolv makes me think Sather should just go a retire already he obviously can't build team anymore.

Yzerman has signed Dominic Moore to a two-year deal. Also, Campoli is signed for $1.4M, avoiding arbitration with the Sens.

Ian White re-signs with Falmes just before arbitration for $2,999,995 for one year. That puts the Flames $2,349,995 over the cap.

If the Blackhawks walk away from Niemi, people are reporting that the team will sign Turco for $1.5M for one year.

That's crazy. I know Chicago's D is good, but Turco is past his prime. They would need a goalie good enough to be a "1b" guy just in case Turco fails. I think they'd be better suited going after Theodore, but he probably wouldn't go for that low a salary.

So the Islanders placed Brendan Witt on unconditional waivers, then traded a 3rd round pick to Anaheim for James Wisniewski and his brand-new $3.25M deal. They took a guy who's $3M was off the books, waived him, then signed a younger, dirtier version for $250K more. Buh?

Salary couldn't have been an issue with Witt since NYI needs to add salary in a bad way. Maybe they just think he sucks.

As for Wisniewski...F U C K !!!!!!! I would've jumped through my roof if Buffalo made that trade. Billy Bad Ass at 3.25 mil for one year...now THAT is the guy the Sabres can use - big, mean, nasty, solid d-man that can play big minutes. How the HELL did he go for just a 3rd rd conditional?!? At least he's a UFA next summer, and I can dream again.

Wisniewski has one of the shittiest attitudes and is one of the dirtiest d-men out there. The Sabres have a ridiculous PK, but it's not good enough to cover up his bullshit. He's like Witt, but if he got into Venom (Batman reference).

I know about his dirty rep (which doesn't bother me too much), but what's up with his attitude? I haven't heard any stories. BTW, he only had 56 penalty minutes last season.

I've heard here and there about a shitty attitude. A lot of talking heads have brought up that his cheap and dirty tactics will have Konopka occupied on the Island, protecting his teammate. I'd rather have Sutton or Witt (in that order) over Wiz.

Devin Setoguchi has signed a one year deal in San Jose, but I don't know the money yet.

I dunno man, the Ducks fans I talk to HATE HATE HATED him. It could be a similar case to how many Sabres fans hated Lydman, but I dunno.
