You have to understand them they're only getting hundred thousands of $ / month so they aren't able to pay 17.000 $ bills. And for sure these poor guys guys deserve a discount for being that rich. Just fucking unbelievable. Hopefully the GM is dealing with this situation. |

This is just one of those drunken "embarassments" that no one ever wants to have to deal with. It seems like a good idea at the time, but ends up looking really bad by the light of day. Sad, really. It reflects poorly on the organization, and NHL Hockey as a whole. |

And no one is suspicious that it happens to be a Calgary Restauranteur? Kind of have to wonder just how well these players were actually treated. Not saying they're blameless, but there are probably more sides to this story than simply players being douchebags. |

This restaurant is a high class establishment, with a long history of respectable service. This had nothing to do with team loyalties. If a large group is going to put a high brow restaurant through the planning and effort of serving 45 people, on New Year's Eve no less, they better be prepared to honor that service with a fair and potentially fully paid tab. It's absolutely pathetic to imagine that these players and team officials couldn't manage to pay an average of $375 per person for a high class meal and top shelf liquor. It's not like they don't have the money. To respond that way shows no respect what-so-ever for the staff and management. What happened to being humble and appreciative? |
