How did this happen at both ends of the arena, unless the guy was sitting somewhere in the middle, in which case, bodies should have blocked the laser to some extent.

You'd probably have a pretty good sight line to both cages from a center ice luxury box...security would probably stay away too.

Hockey fans outside of wachovia, acc, bell, and nassau are generally very respectful. Plus there's the fact that most people don't want to be pitched from a game and banned from future games.
