Ouch. Though I'd prefer that somehow Versus got tied into that and lost the contract or was forced to keep the Crosby count to less that 30. |

It's like the clock that doesn't run in Montreal. |

That's pretty wrong, and they should get hammered for that. Big time fine and a loss of job(s). |

Shouldn't the war room in Toronto have that angle?? Plus if the game was 7-4 Philly its a non issue to me. |

I saw that! That should have been a Philly goal. It was CLEARLY in the net on one of shots that FSN Pittsburgh showed -problem was, we only got that conclusive shot ONCE, after the call had been made. The announcers even commented on it. |

The war room relies on images sourced from the broadcast teams inside the arena. They don't have more cameras dedicated for their use. I can't see why you would think this is a non issue. Networks should not be allowed to influence the outcome of a video goal review by withholding footage that may provide definitive proof one way or another. |

I never knew that, I always thought the war room in Toronto had more cameras to review goals. I think it would have been more of an issue if Pittsburgh actually won the game. I find it hard to believe that Philly has not started bitching about this. |

I'd rather they nip this now before it DOES actually cost someone a game. |

even if the individual broadcast teams have all the angles, doesn't the NHL ultimately own the rights to the footage? I would think FSN Pitt. could have a little licensing issue next time contract negations come around. |

In seriousness, the integrity of the league should be of the highest priority. To prove this to the fans, a HUUUGE hammer should be laid down, ala Billicheat. |

Exactly XC, they do own the footage and it would definitely could affect FSN's ability to broadcast games come contract time....interesting to see the results.

I just read the article on ESPN.com about this for the first time, and the end of it states that the guy who has been suspended (the producer of FSN Pittsburgh) worked for the Buffalo Sabres broadcasts as well. |
