Leafs had played a good game against the Sharks.

Then, with under 5 to go, Schenn got beat along the boards by Setoguchi, then failed to pick up the loose man in front who received the centering pass from guchi and buried it behind JS.

They have to be kicking themselves in the ass for passing up Myers. They HAVE to be. :lol:


And he's alllll ours. :D :D :D

yeah, both players are aces in the hole. schenn is just going to get better. i get the feeling myers is more of a complete player, while schenn will be better defensively.

I don't think Schenn will be better defensively.

He's not quicker than Myers. He's smaller than Myers.

Just wait to Big Easy puts some pounds on.

Schenn will be good, but he won't match Myers' ability.

the thing about myers height is, have you ever seen his neck? he might be 6-7, but he was the body of a 6-4 guy. his neck is like a fucking giraffe.

i dunno, i just see schenn rounding out as a better defensive player, while myers, not exactly lacking in that department, is more of a well rounded player.

Schenn will be very good. He's strong, athletic, and holds his own in front of the net.

Myers is offensively talented, great PP guy, has amazing vision.

Right now, the biggest difference in their games is PHYSICALITY. Schenn is a monster when it comes to moving people around, and using his hips to gain body position. Once Myers bulks up a bit, and fills out, he'll be equally as good.

As for right now, defensively I give the nod to Schenn, all around game, I don't think there's any doubt that Myers is the more complete player of the two.

Schenn might turn out and he might not. Toronto is a place to die for player lately, also Toronto never shuts up about the Schenn.

The thing about Schenn is he is also on a crappy Toronto team. That also shows, but Schenn will be fine, he'll also be a future Norris winner, even if he stays on the Laffs.

A 20 year old sophomore defenseman makes a young player's mistake in his own zone that leads to the game winning goal ... and?

I don't see what all the fuss is about. He's still just a kid with plenty of room to grow.

I'd gladly ship any of our defenseman (excluding you know who) to Toronto for Schenn. Hell, I'd even throw in Mancari............ ;)
