This may need to be moved, but it is NHL related so, meh. News is news.

Some of the comments are pretty lol worthy but man, I just don't get it. They make all this money, and can't flip for a cab? Jesus. If you're gonna take your own life out of stupidity by drinking and driving, fine. But why not worry about the other drivers?

I would imagine he has pretty broken English, so it could be possible that the police were wrong in interpreting his slow speech. Still, like you said, when you're made of money why take any unnecessary chances?

Especially after the Heatley incident.

So, they charged him with driving under the influence but did they give him a breathalyzer test? Article seems to be lacking that bit of information.

I tried to get him to slow down at the pub last night, but he was trying like hell to get in Steffi's pants and throwing around money like it was water.

Khabi should have offered a billion dollars to have been let go...........

No amount of money would make me let him go.

Driving while drunk is stupid and retarded and can be proven with a simple test.

Had he been speeding alone that is different.

The grief he gets at every arena for that pisses me off so much... Have some basic empathy. He wasn't drunk at all, and that was his best friend. I'm in that age group, and every single guy I know has driven like that at some point. It could happen to anybody.

One glass of wine does not = intoxication

speeding ticket. Who cares

He deserves the grief he gets, and I don't care what anyone else says about it.

I still plan on following through with my plan for tossing a Snyder jersey on the bench during a game.

Snyder had the full ability to tell Heatley to slow down or not get in the car.

In those situations the passenger is just as guilty as the person driving. Heatley had a Lambo, of course he wanted to drive fast, but Snyder thought nothing of it and got killed, had he thought twice and told Heatley to slow down, things could be different right now.

I put none of the blame on Snyder...Heatley was screaming down the road at 160 mph (I think) and that RIGHT THERE is where I take exception. You put a kid in a Ferrari (especially a kid who probably had a mountain-sized ego by that point) and he's going to speed like the dickens.

Wow phil, didn't expect this much pure ignorance from you

Heatley was going 130 kmph, 80 miles --precisely half as bad as you just assumed. Any car can go that fast doesn't matter if you paid 5000 or 500000 for it.

I go about that every time i hit the highway, don't even try to tell me you haven't. I find it disgusting that you would take pride in making him relive that moment.

OK, my bad.

And yes, knowing the speed (how I didn't know the actual speed before) does affect my view of the situation.
