Couldn't find any video yet. I really want to see this hit. The write up on ESPN makes it sound clean, but you never know based on their hockey knowledge.

One thing I do know is that Prucha gets caught with his head down A LOT.

Was a bush league hit. You NEVER! swing your arms into a hit. He drove him into the boards...and it pisses me right the hell off that nobody was able to jump him and beat him. FUCK the instigator rule, it is bullshit. 3rd man in should get a bonus, not a penalty

i don't see what's wrong with swinging your arms into a hit when you're trained to drive your entire body through a hit. this doesn't even look like that bad of a hit to me. i don't see an elbow at all (maybe it was a little high, but it wasn't pointed), it was a skate by, not a skate through, and yes, it was probably a little late.

the problem here was prucha with his head down.

Yeah, I didn't see a dirty elbow to the head in that hit either - more shoulder from the view I saw, which was from pretty far away, but didn't look too bad actually. A different and closer view might have shown something I didn't see, but ya gotta pay attention out there!

part of it was the glass, as pointed out by the announcers. its seamless, so its anchored deeper in the boards (remember when seamless glass was all the rage?)

PSA: I am an overly sarcastic person. If you take me at my word, then i will most likely anger and offend you.

I played it almost frame by frame; and did not see an elbow come up. Looked more like a fluke thing to me. I'd have to see a different angle of it to see anything dirty with that. I'm almost ready to say we are becoming "wussified" on some of these calls. People can get seriously hurt from legal checks; it's part of the game.

(Not that some don't cross the line, granted.)

He hasn't been for a while, Mo. Hell, even Kaleta has already killdozered him since he joined the 'Yotes.

And Howie has a very valid point, and I concur with Yankee on this one - where's the outrage coming from on this hit. That looks like a freak accident occurring from a legal hit to me. Prucha just seems to have the worst combination of bad luck and a glass frame.

Pretty clean hit, but when head meets glass bad things happen. Seems to me this one had more to do with predatory body armor than a dirty hit.
