Which teams did the best overall, and which team got the best players. We need a new topic, because the reality of the Sabre's topics is too much to bear right now. I like the Ducks bringing in 2 good defensemen, and giving up very little(notice they trade guys away while they're still worth a 6th or 7th). I wish they had of got Torres rather than Buffalo, because he is what they really needed for the 2nd/3rd lines. Individually speaking, Torres was a good pickup. Modin came pretty cheap, as did Wolski. Phoenix was also lucky to get Morris back. Schneider may have been a good pickup for some teams. Your thoughts? ....and how's that 3 year extension, Ray?? haha |

I thought Washington did well, getting Belanger, Walker, Jurcina, and Corvo. The only roster player they gave up was Pothier, who was a pending UFA. |

Washington did great. Pens got better, but not enough to beat the Caps. |

Guess you could say the Caps, but will they all gel together? |

Phoenix in my mind were the big winners. Getting Wolski, Morris, Stempniak, Nokelinen and Picard...all of which are very good players. Losing Mueller hurts, but he hasn't ever really panned out to be what he was supposed to be. |

Everyone was high on Calgary last year and they crapped out in spectacular fashion. |

Thought Anaheim did great getting rid off Toskala's cap hit and getting Visnovsky + Ward. They had some deep holes in their D and now fixed it. Team Russia as always should be a non factor again in the playoffs. They are still a one man show which won't be enough to win the cup. Phoenix did great and personally I like them. Despite all the moving, bankrupt talk they managed to focus on the game. I'm surprised Detroit didn't do anything major they could have needed some secondary scoring. Calgary will now be known as the Maple Flames *lol* |
