Who will win MVP?

I voted that Miller will win it. If it weren't for him we'd probably have 5-7 less wins this season and be on the outside looking in. Instead we're 1st in the NE with a 7 point lead over the next team.

I was thinking that, but who's gonna vote for an MVP that's been suspended 3 times. That's why I put Sedin.

I think the suspensions are going to hurt him, but I'd be pretty sure he gets some votes regardless.

I'm pretty confident in Miller pulling a Hasek and grabbing the Hart and Vezina this year.

I'm sure Ovechkin will win it...

Miller because I'm a Sabres fan.

I haven't seen enough of the other guys to vote. At school, the only time I've got for hockey between socializing and, well, school is barely enough for the Sabres. Somehow I kept track of the entire NHL in high school, which makes no sense because I had more homework then...

This thread was borne out of a conversation I had with Billy.

I feel as though Bryzgalov deserves the Hart more than anyone (including Miller), if it is handed out along the definition of the award (which it never is anymore). The Coyotes are the surprise of the league this year, have more points than the Sabres, and Bryzgalov has more wins and more shutouts than Miller. He's been more crucial to them than Miller has been to the Sabres, as the Yotes don't have the talent in front of Bryz that Miller does in front of him.

To me, Bryzgalov deserves the Hart, and far and away Miller deserves the Vezina.

How would one goalie get the hart and another get the vezina?

The Hart is the most valuable player to his team.

The Vezina is the best goalie.

The argument could be made that while Miller is the better goalie, but Bryzgalov mean more to his team's success.

Oh, alright. I had just assumed that the Hart was the best player award, and Vezina was best goalie, so how would you be the best player as a goalie but not the best goalie? :?

Exactly the logic behind my point.

Well has that ever happened before? A goalie win the Hart but not the Vezina?

I don't know. I mean, it makes sense enough to happen as per my point regarding Bryzgalov and Miller, but I doubt it ever has.

millers numbers, while still very very good, have slipped. his save percentage is below .930, and his gaa is in the 2.20 range. i think bryz will possibly win the veznia now.

Miller leads the league in SV% (Bryzgalov isn't even in the top 5) and Miller is second in the league with GAA (Bryzgalov is fourth). Bryzgalov only beats Miller out regarding shutouts and wins.
