Quote:
“In a game like this, if you have 20 guys, you don’t lose,’’ said the 42-year-old alternate captain, who led all players with six shots. “In New Jersey, we had 20 guys and we win.

“It’s no secret at this time of year. You might not feel good. At this time of year, chances are that you don’t feel great. But you know what? You’ve got to dig deep down. You’ve got to do it for your teammates and do it for yourself.

“If you’re a goal scorer and you’re not scoring goals, you’ve got to be physical and you’ve got to play great defensively. If you’re a physical guy, you’ve got to chip in at odd times.

“There’s a whole bunch of factors that play into this. With five games remaining, we shouldn’t have to be talking about it. But the results are there. You don’t have 20 guys, you don’t win. When we do, we win.’’

Recchi didn’t drop any names. He didn’t have to. They were right on the scoresheet with zeroes next to them: Blake Wheeler and Michael Ryder.

The Bruins really do suck a lot this year, offensively. Their forwards are HORRIBLE. Incredibly inconsistent.
