CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Brian Campbell returned to full practice Wednesday for the first time since breaking his right clavicle March 14 in a game against the Washington Capitals.


After practice, coach Joel Quenneville and Campbell ruled him out for the first couple games of their playoff series against the Nashville Predators, which opens on Friday, but would not rule out playing later in the series.


Doctors declared Campbell out for eight weeks after getting dangerously hit into the boards by Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin. Ovechkin was suspended for two games after delivering the blow.


Campbell had seven goals and 31 assists in 68 games before going down with the injury.


The Blackhawks take on the Nashville Predators Friday in Game 1 of the best-of-seven quarterfinal series.

Well it looks like he's ahead of schedule a bit cause when he first got injured they forst said he'd be out until about round 2
