Head coach Jacques Martin decided the younger Kostitsyn was more trouble than he was worth when he decided to send him to the Hamilton Bulldogs on Sunday. The decision was made shortly before the Canadiens left Montreal to wrap up their training camp with a three-day session at Teen Ranch in this rural community northwest of Toronto and it came as a surprise only because Martin said he wouldn't release any players until this phase of the camp concludes tomorrow. "I think you have to reach a point sometime where it's not words, it's action (that's needed) to deliver a message," Martin said. "In Sergei's case, we have expectations, we had objectives that were laid out and it's important for the players to understand that we want them to respect that," Martin said. "We feel that he needs to work at his game. He needs to understand what's expected of a professional." ...They're dropping like flies, I tell ya. Why can't the Sabres assign underperforming players to the farm? Everyone else is doing it... |

First it was s. Kostitsyn supposedly in a drug ring then we hear about Patrick Kane kicking the crap out of someone now all we need is Sam Gagner to do something illeagally stupid and that would be the London Knights whole 1st line in a few years ago all in shit. |

Kostitsyn Demands Trade ...who are these guys? What makes them so "special"? What next? He threatens to jump to the KHL, and renegs on his contract? BTW, he's been suspended by the Habs. |

...Furthermore, I think his actions just made him all the more "untradeable". Money's tight - So which team would struggle to fit another troublemaker under their cap? |

his brother is the better player for the habs. i would guess they're saying go ahead go to the khl we will let them pay you. |
