NHL may have future in Regina
"Hockey fans in Regina probably won't have to wait another 20 years to witness the return of the NHL.
Evraz Place officials have already held preliminary talks with NHL promoters about bringing another pre-season game to the Brandt Centre next year -- and perhaps more. Those discussions are a direct response to the sellout crowd that watched the Ottawa Senators beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-1 on Sept. 21.
"Given the success of the game itself I certainly think there is a good chance we'll get another game back here at least for next year and hopefully we can work something beyond that," offered Neil Donnelly, vice-president of events and entertainment for Evraz Place."
Smoke another one, guys...Bettman's NHL will not allow a team in Regina; even if they promise to sell-out Tralfaz...errrr...Evraz Place, every night, for the next twenty years. WHY? (You may ask...)
