After watching the performance of Halak and Rask so far, anybody wanna rethink their position on young, inexperienced goaltenders in the post-season? |

And Niemi had two shutouts in the first round. |

Did we forget Cam Ward winning the cup his rookie year or how Miller played that year also? Fleury's first year they went to the cup was still amazing with a .933 sv%. It's not about how a goalie plays, it's how the team plays, last year Fleury has a dismal .906 sv% in the playoffs, Luongo right now has a sub .900 yet still won their first series. Is it the goalies playing hot, or the better team winning? Except with Montreal, that was honestly all Halak. |

Without Fleury making that save as time expired on Lidstrom, the Pens go to OT and lose to a scary Red Wings team. |

Most goalies started off young and inexperienced in the playoffs at one point. |

.906 save percentage is dismal? You're too young to remember, but not too lomg ago, that would have been considered really good numbers. I'd still argue it's about average, even for this era. But before the Roy, then Brodeur/Hasek eras, .900 save percentage would be all-star like numbers. |

I don't care, I still don't like Fleury's play, and no one will change that, unless he shows he really is an amazing goalie. I'm allowed to not like players. But true .908 isn't dismal, but is barely average now. |
