Reinsdorf is out. Glendale is trying to bring Ice Edge Holdings back in, but that could get dicey. The Glendale city council already voted down the Ice Edge proposal, which apparently includes a clause that said that Glendale would cover any team losses next year.

I can't see any city council approving a deal that would force them to pay for operating losses like that. My guess is that it's more and more likely the Yotes time in Phoenix is drawing short.

Why would they cut Riensdorf's bid?

He was going to keep the team in Glendale I thought. I know they are guaranteed next year at least in Phoenix.

Apparently the timeline is getting even shorter. A decision is supposed to be come down within 3 weeks now if the team is going to say in the desert of if the NHL puts the wheels in motion to put them back in Winnipeg.

It's a shame that this happened when the team actually had a banner year.
