This is why I hate listening to my friends talk about the NBA, MLB and the NFL. They try to make it seem like other athletes are on the same level of badassery as NHL players. I couldn't imagine a guy like say Shaq losing chicklets and staying in the building let alone the game. |

Just to illustrate how truly badass Duncan Keith is, one of the teeth he lost was lodged in the back of his throat the rest of the game. I know it's in the first paragraph of that news story, but c'mon...he played the rest of the game fighting off a gag reflex that must've felt like Lexington Steele was trying to get him to choke on some hefty meat. |

If a basketball or baseball player lost 7 teeth they would be out for 2 seasons. A soccer player would still be writhing on the pitch crying like a baby...and football players, well, it's impossible for them to lose a tooth. |

While football players face more brutal physical abuse that could be considered brave, while toughing out an injury can be considered tough as well. I've argued it before, and most people think it's football, but for guts, I'll take hockey. My trump card is always that size don't matter, because some(sorry, I meant all) flyweight boxers have 10 times the heart that a Mike Williams(OT) has. |
