http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2010/06/rumor-boston-to-trade-wheeler-savard-to-columbus-for-4th-overall-pick.php

BOS: Savard, Wheeler, 15th pick (maybe)

CBJ: 4th overall pick

So far it's just a proposal but quite a few dudes have said it's got legs.

It not that dumb. Savard is old and injury proned and has a fairly large and Wheeler is just plain awful, I'd take a 4th overall pick if it means dumping salary. Plus Boston is going to get a pretty good pick in Seguin or Hall

Wheeler is UFA once July 1st hits, unless you're talking about Savard's salary. And Boston is getting either Seguin or Hall regardless of this trade.

Sounds like the only thing holding up this trade is Savard's NTC. If he doesn't wanna waive it, the whole thing is off.

Nash-Savard-Voracek would be a pretty beastly 1st line

If this happens, CBJ would definitely be the winner.

Why the hell would Savard want to waive his NTC? He's doing fine in Boston.

Looks like Savard wants to retire with Boston, so he's not waiving it and the trade is dead.

Regarding the Blues, hell yea they'll make noise. Most likely signing Halak, bringing Pietrangelo back up, and having guys like Backes, Boyes, Oshie, and Johnson at the core? Trade or sign some veterans and watch em go to work. You guys think St. Louis might try to sign Bill Guerin?
