I've got sources saying a Spezza to CBJ deal is 99% done and both teams are working to get it done tonight. No word on return yet.

i see Brassard, Huselius, and the 4th overall for Spezza. that wouldn't be too bad for ottawa if that is the case.

HUGE OVERPAYMENT

Brassard and a second for Spezza would be even, but Brassard and Huselius and the 4th would be criminal. If they sent out Brassard and Huselis for Spezza it's insanity.

BREAKING - it's Eklund. This thread should just get nuked now. I shoulda known this would end up being an Eklund bullshittery.

From Darren Dreger's twitter:
"I just asked Bryan Murray if I can kill the 'Spezza to Columbus rumour'...he replied, 'yes, please do.' End of story. For now."

I wanted to check it to see if there any more rumors not yet posted and I saw he had tweeted that less than 20 seconds ago. I feel kind of special getting to that first, lol. Unfortunately, that's the only source I have.

I hope Ottawa keeps/gets stuck with Spezza. The current chemistry in Ottawa is a good thing for us.

I'd rather him be gone, whether or not Ottawa "improves" from any deal. The guy simply murders the Sabres.

It was terrible, man. When I finally saw the pieces involved, it clicked that something wasn't right. I felt violated.

even though its a moot point, I think Huselius is too streaky to make the deal worth it.
