The NHL and the Owners have reached an agreement on the CBA, and have Extended it atleast a year, possibly longer. The Salary Cap based on Team Revenues has gone up, and will be around 61M next season, with the floor being around 39M More details as they come. |

regardless of what the cap is, the sabres will never spend to it. |

And the year before that when they were even closer, and needed every penny of Little Timmy's LTIR cushion. This notion that they don't spend money is nonsense. |

So why did they ever bother to enforce a cap? Contracts are right back where they were before the work stoppage, and the average American's real wages are worse. |

mechaphil wrote: Cap won't be going higher than $59.2M, James Mirtle reports. Was a 5% increase from what I've read, 5% of ~57M is roughly 59.8M Unless I'm doing the math wrong; James Mirtle is wrong. Gary Cobb, and Piere LaBrun both report the 5% growth on the cap. |
