Coming from Piere LeBrun just now. It's a six player deal sending Dustin Byfuglien to Atlanta. The Blackhawks get a 1st round pick. Those are the only details right now. |

Quote: Byfuglien, along with Brent Sopel, Ben Eager and Akim Aliu, will be headed to Atlanta in exchange for the 24th overall pick at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, the 54th pick, Marty Reasoner and Jeremy Morin. The picks that Chicago get in the deal were acquired by Atlanta in the trade that sent Ilya Kovalchuk to New Jersey last February.

So, Atlanta trading Kovalchuk to NJD essentially gives ATL Bergfors, Cormier, Byfuglien, Sopel, and Eager (among other pieces I forgot)? FUCKING ROBBERY HOLY SHIT. |

They also got the General, and if I remember right some tough guy from Anaheim. Not to mention they picked up the Zombie during the year. |

TSN says it is not official yet http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=325488 But I like that trade for the Hakws the shed a lot of salary and they got a pretty good prospect in Morin |

After watching Eager this season I would want him in a heart beat for our 4th line. A bit faster than Mairs and hit like a beast (sometimes) |

The Hawks who needed relief of salary dump Sopel who is on his last legs, Byfuglien who did dick all in the season not a whole lot in the cup final plus the get rid of 3 million dollars, Eager is a forth liner who played like 4 minutes a game and Aliu is a fucking lazy ass guy who think he is better than he really is. The Hawks get a pretty good player in Morin look at his stats http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/stat ... hp?id=5356 and the get a first round pick which is going to be half descent because the Thrashers fucking suck. |
