I stumbled across this article this morning, and since the subject of athletes and taxes came up with the whole LeBron thing, wanted to share it. http://articles.latimes.com/2009/apr/12 ... jock-tax12 In a nutshell, athletes that play for a team in a no income tax state (like Florida) don't get significant tax advantages because they have to pay taxes in states that they play in for income earned in that state. So, while LeBron may not have to pay states taxes on time he spends in South Florida, he'll have to pony up every time he plays in another state. |

so it's still a 50% savings....all home games being income tax free. That sounds like a significant tax advantage to me. |
