If there is only one thing I feel sure about, it's that he won't go back to Russia. Second only to the money is the acclaim, and he's already said no one gives a damn about the Gagarin Cup.

I know it won't happen, but at this point in the whole saga I think every GM in the league should basically voice the same words to him as to what is being slung around in this thread. He's strung along a select number of teams and has given false beliefs to all of them that he is interested in signing with them. He's turned into one big fucking cock tease towards these teams as well as the whole league and it's absolutely ridiculous.

For the record, I've never wanted his likes in a Sabres sweater and I pity the GM that wants this cancer on their roster. I won't deny the fact that the kid has skill (Anyone younger than me, I always call them kids). He's in the NHL for a reason. But the way he's acting and dicking around, to me is worse than LeBron fucking James.

I hate to admit it but Bulldog made a good point yesterday.....

For 45-50 goals a season and a HUGE PP QB/Specialist....I dont care if you dont play defense. We have other guys for that. Give me 50 goals and Im cool. Not every forwards job is to play D just like not every D mans job is to contribute offensively. Thats why one is a SCORER and the other plays DEFENSE...

That's not a good point. 10 million is too much money in a salary cap era for a player like Kovalchuk.

+/- ratings aren't always perfect, but when a guy is consistently in double digits negative, you know something isn't right.

Thank god Bulldog doesn't run this team, because we'd look a lot like the New York Rangers right now.

Who cares, it's only annoying when everybody whines about it. He can wait until 3 months into next season to sign for all I care. Nobody is putting a gun up to the managers, players, and agents heads to wait for him or anybody else. They are choosing to do so.

Other free agents are holding out because they know their value will go up once Kovalchuk is signed.

Therefore, the whole NHL is frozen during the hottest time of year.
